Fashion:Mend

Pierre Alexis Dumas once said, “Hermes is about quality manufacturing, it’s about strong and positive values, not superfluous values, we work with craftsmen.”—Four hundred to be exact. Each Hermes handbag is sewn stitch by stitch by one individual craftsman. Upon completion, your Birkin or Kelly is embossed with the Hermes logo, however do you know who really MADE your bag? This November, Invisible children are introducing Mend, a brand “designed to seam a personal connection between products, their creators, and you.” Unlike Hermes, every garment carries the name of the seamstress who made it. Sorry Jane Birkin, You may have had a bag made for you but it wasn’t made by you.

Made from over 400 images that was created from 2003-2009 by Siggi Eggertsson. Bits and pieces from commercial, rejected and personal projects. Siggi has been collecting all these images to use in a completely different project, but then discovered that they could look great in animation too.
